Fred was born in Yakima, WA in 1924. He was raised in Sunnyside, WA with his 4 brothers, all of whom were veterans in WWII and/or Korea, and 1 sister. He served with the 442nd in WWII and then in Korea. His decorations included a silver star, 2 bronze stars and 2 purple hearts. He graduated from Sunnyside High School and the University of Washington with a degree in accounting. Fred retired as an operator of a dry cleaner and was a member of St. Peter Episcopal Church. He passed away in 2007.
